Background
Crescent is an innovative financial planning and budgeting app that stands out from competitor financial planning apps by harnessing the real-time cycle of the moon to guide users. This unique approach is particularly targeted at a younger demographic (ages 18-29) who are learning to be financially independent and responsible. By integrating the moon's phases into its features, the app makes saving and financial planning an engaging and enjoyable experience. It also expands on a user’s experience with finances and spending by connecting to a desktop plug in that aids in encouraging the user to stay cognizant of their spending when shopping online.
Our app goes beyond traditional budgeting apps! It empowers users to become more conscious of their passive spending and financial habits, ultimately nurturing a mindful approach to money management as our audience transitions into adulthood. Our teamwork resulted in an app that attracts younger users, fosters financial awareness, and provides a fun and playful way for young adults to plan their financial future.
